KORU Values and KORU Kids
PURPOSE STATEMENT
The purpose of our KORU Values behaviour support plan is to create a safe and supportive environment within our school community. This will provide a framework from which to build positive and respectful relationships, encouraging students to reach their potential.
Through modelling, teaching, recognising and rewarding positive behaviours, an empowering environment is created. This enables the school community to remain focused on developing KORU Kids.
KORU Values at KKPS will provide an effective, efficient and relevant framework that:
- is evidence-based using measurable academic and social achievement indicators i.e. data collection and collation around behaviours
- is founded on contributions from all stakeholders (whānau, students, staff, and community)
- is culturally responsive
- is visible – an integral part of the school’s daily operation
- promotes and maintains a safe learning culture and environment.
CLASS DOJO
Kerikeri Primary uses Classdojo to communicate with our school family. We also use the Class Dojo points systems to acknowledge positive behaviour at KKPS. Whether your child is in the classroom, the playground, the hall or one of the other areas in the school a point may be given to acknowledge great behaviour.
