Aroha Island

Wow! The great golden bird’s feathers shine in the light. ‘That’s a Chinese Golden Pheasant’, says the teacher.

The beautiful pheasant stands still as a statue. Finally an old man comes in the room and breaks the silence.

As we walked along the track we stopped and heard some amazing noises.

It was really exciting.

I learnt that Kiwis charge extremely fast. It was really cool at Aroha Island and I liked it a lot.

Lightning hitting the hard ground.

Wind whistling through holes.

Liam

Kauri Syndicate Assembly

Once a fortnight, Kauri Syndicate have their assembly. Children have an opportunity to share their work, receive reading certificates, sing songs and share achievements. Whanau are most welcome to attend our assemblies – check with the office or class teacher when our next syndicate assembly will be held.
