Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees play a critical role, in partnership with the School Principal, in ensuring our children succeed.

Our Board of Trustees is made up of:

Paul Lindsay (Principal)

Kerry Maxwell (Staff Representative)

Parent Representatives:

Rob Drummond (Chairperson)

Rene Miles

Tracy Barker

Vee Singh

Beth Finer

The Board of Trustees is given power under the Education Act to control the governance of the school.

The Board’s role in governance is responsibility for student achievement through the following:

  • Review of learning outcomes, programmes, the Charter, policies and procedures
  • Employment of staff – the Board is the legal employer of the staff and considers them to be their most valuable resource and supports them with ongoing professional development.
  • Asset management, including finance and property, and includes ensuring resources are available for the effective delivery of education to our students.

Our meetings are held on  Tuesday of week 3 & 8 of each term at 1.00pm and parents are welcome to attend. If there are issues or items to be raised at the meeting, these must be notified to the Board Chairperson one week prior to the meeting.

Our Board is very hard working and has an extremely supportive and harmonious working relationship with Principal, Senior Management and Staff. This co-operation has enabled the school to achieve highly (see our latest ERO Report click here), and also enhance the physical environment of the whole school.
